Delta Air Lines Will Block Middle Seats through April 2021

Delta Air Lines announced that it will extend its policy of blocking the middle seat through at least April 2021, making it the last major U.S. airline to keep the policy in place.

Delta first started the policy in April 2020 and most major airlines matched it. However, over the last few months, most of the others carrier have winded down their policies of blocking the middle seat while Delta has committed to extending it.

The policy allows for groups of three to sit together if they choose, but makes sure that the middle seats in Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin are empty. It also includes blocking adjacent seats in First Class.
